Heey there !
It’s now been a week since I got back to Denmark. This past week has passed by extremely fast and I have had quite a lot of school work to clear in order to prepare for what is coming up.
I had a really good time in France with Mike, Peter, Joach and all the others! During our stay at La Torche I learned a lot and made many new friends. Surfing with all the competitors from around the world showed me what is possible on a SUP board and it really motivated me to keep pushing my surfing.

World Champ and current world #1 Kai Lenny from Hawaii pushing the limits of stand up paddle surfing! A huge inspiration, nice guy and a great image for the evolving sport !
I made it to the finals of trials and thereby into the main event. I never expected to make it this far, but nonetheless, I was super excited about taking on the world’s best. I advanced from my round 1 heat along with Brazillian champ Leco Salazar. The waves were super fun and very rippable. I felt comfortable during my heat and locked in the necessary scores to advance. Once again I was over the moon
The waves were really good but constantly changing during all of round 3. My heat was at a crucial fase of the tide, so I knew I had to focus 100 %. I was really fired up for this heat and received thumbs ups from all the guys on the beach including Robby Naish. It was a great feeling. Unfortunately I lost focus in the water and took some very bad waves. I didn’t hit the right rhythm or adapt to the waves right in front of me. I lost the heat but gained a great contest experience! It’s all about being focused and surfing the wave and not your mind.

The 3rd round was my final heat in this World Cup. Equal 17th. Hopefully I will be back in the mix soon!
I finished 17th at the Naish La Torche Pro, which sets me on an equal 30th place on the world ranking. There is a good energy around the World Tour right now and I will be following the momentum of this energy from France to Sapinus, Tahiti, where the next stop on the 2011 World Tour will take place.
More news and action coming soon
