The Ultimate SUP Challenge
Right now I am sitting in a nice warm boat somewhere in Holland listening to the howling wind outside and the rain drops pour down. The atmosphere on board is super positive and we are all looking forward to heading out on the Ultimate SUP Challenge!
11-city-sup-tour
The 11-City-Tour takes us around the Dutch province of Friesland on a 220 km course that spans over 5 days. Many of the best stand up paddlers from around the globe gather here every year to compete for the prestigious SUP trophy of Friesland. This year I will be participating in the elite class representing Klitmøller and Denmark.
For 5 consecutive days I will be paddling marathon distances on my 14” Naish Javelin. I am really excited to get going and see where my level of paddling is compared to the best endurace paddlers in the world! The 11-City-Tour is known for being very extreme and this year definitely seems to be living up to its reputation so far! A 30 knot headwind is forecasted for the stage tomorrow. I do feel a bit of pre-race nervousness going into the this extreme event, but as soon as we get going it should all clear
